Terms of Use

By using AI Engineer Path, you agree to the terms below. They are written in plain language. If anything is unclear, ask via the contact page.

1. What you can do with the content

The articles, diagrams, and code samples on this site are free to read and share.

Code samples are released under the MIT license unless explicitly marked otherwise. Article text is © AI Engineer Path, with the sharing-and-quoting rights above.

2. Donations and supporter tiers

Payments labelled "Buy me a coffee", "Monthly supporter", or "Annual supporter" are voluntary donations. They do not unlock additional content, grant any subscription rights, or create any contractual obligation on our side beyond what is described here.

Everything on the site is free for everyone, whether or not they donate. Donations exist so readers who find the site useful can chip in.

2.1 Payment processing

Donations are processed by Lemon Squeezy, Inc., acting as the Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy handles billing, taxes (including EU VAT), receipts, and refunds. Their terms apply to the transaction itself: lemonsqueezy.com/terms.

2.2 Recurring donations

If you choose a monthly or annual recurring tier, you may cancel at any time from the link in your Lemon Squeezy receipt, or by emailing us. Monthly cancellations stop at the next billing date. Annual cancellations receive a prorated refund for unused months.

2.3 Refund policy

We will refund any donation, no questions asked, within 30 days of payment. Just reply to your receipt or email us via the contact page.

3. No warranty

The articles describe techniques and trade-offs we have used and believe to be correct as of the date of publication. Technology changes fast. We give no warranty that the techniques are current, complete, or suitable for any specific use case.

You are responsible for evaluating whether any guidance fits your situation before applying it to production code. The site authors are not liable for damages arising from following the content.

4. Code samples

Code samples are provided as illustrations of patterns. They are not battle-tested libraries. Test before deploying to production. Pin versions. Read your provider's documentation.

5. Third-party services and links

The site links to third-party services (provider documentation, libraries, papers). We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability, or terms.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use the site or its content to: train commercial AI models on the corpus without permission, scrape aggressively in a way that degrades site availability for others, attempt to bypass any rate limits, or send malicious traffic.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will move the "Last updated" date and be announced in the RSS feed.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by correspondence will be brought before the competent Dutch courts.

9. Contact

Questions about these terms: see the contact page.
